​Mindo

Mindo Rainforest is one of the MUST SEE locations in Ecuador. The breathtaking nature of this area is the main reason why Ecuadorian and international tourists visit Mindo.
It is located in a valley, of which some 19,000 hectares are protected in what is called the Bosque Protector Mindo Nambillo.
This ecosystem is home to about 500 varieties of birds and 90 species of butterflies. More than 170 endemic species of Orchidsare cohabitate bromeliads, heliconia, ferns, vines, mosses and lichens.
